INTERNATIONAL PEACE CONFERENCE CENTER AT THE WHITNEY ESTATE
MANHASSET, NEW YORK

The project design focused on the maintenance and preservation of the site’s historic character while providing a state-of-the-art upgrade. The project also consisted of the master planning and implementation of engineering and design work for the electric utilities for a 400 acre site.

The site includes the following: Dairy Complex, Annex Complex, Main House, Pumping Station, Superintendent’s House, Security/Chicken House, Yulin House, Banes Cottage, Radio Transmitter Station, Greenhouse and many other similar structures. The electric system was a 13-2 KV loop system supplied from two independent utility sources.

Mechanical system design addressed issues in exercise room, guest rooms, indoor pool and tennis court, each a feature of one of Long Island’s most prestigiously envisioned world-class conference centers. HVAC work was also incorporated to several structures at the foundation estate.
