The project involved the design of eleven new ferry landings, and the renovation of four additional ferry landings, for the NYC Economic Development Corporation’s initiative to expand its NYC Ferry service. The unified ferry system connects Manhattan with Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and in 2020 Staten Island – creating an affordable, efficient way to link city residents and commuters by water.

Electrical system design included the extension of electric power service from landside utility power connection to new pier and barge for ferry landing, and providing electric distribution (panels, branch circuiting, etc.) for winch motors, canopy lighting, heaters, gangway lighting, and ticketing machines/customer kiosks.
